Wow Mom

While I was at Home Depot today, my mom called me. She was excited and exclaimed, "...I had to call you!" She had been shopping for some new pants for her "retiree job" (I know it's an oxymoron) of Teacher's Aide at a middle school in Bolingbrook where her and my dad live. She had previously worn size 16 pants, but over the past several weeks, she has been eating better and regularly working out with the awesome home fitness program "Slim In 6". She told me she wanted to try on some smaller sizes to see where she was at, and that she now fits in to a SIZE 12! I congratulated her on this huge accomplishment. She is now down to 155 lbs and her first goal is to reach 140, which she will no doubt be able to do. Everyone, I want to tell you that my mom is 66 years old, and she has always been an awesome and inspiring individual, and to witness results like this is nothing to sneeze at.

Further, earlier this week she told me about some of her friends at work, and how she's been telling them about what she has been doing, about me and my accomplishments, and that I am her coach and have been helping her out, etc. One of her friends came into work one morning and told my mom she had worked out that day because my mom had inspired her! I immediately told my mom she had no choice--she will be a coach on my team with Beachbody. Folks, you don't need to be an expert. You don't need to be a trainer. You don't even need to be extremely fit yourself. All you need to do is to want to live better and make some changes in your own lives, and naturally when you feel great, your energy and results will inspire others to believe in themselves, and it is because of this that we all can succeed together. Mom, you always tell me that you love me and that you are proud of me; well I just want to remind you that I love you so much and am so proud of you!
